Professional Bio

Dr. Ron Caloss is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over 20 years of experience treating complex facial deformities. He combines advanced training in orthognathic and cosmetic surgery with a deep commitment to personalized care. Throughout his career, he has pioneered the use of digital surgical planning and custom facial implants to improve outcomes in jaw and facial reconstruction.

Dr. Caloss earned his D.D.S. and M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he also completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency and a general surgery internship. He later completed a cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgery fellowship at Baptist Golden Triangle Hospital in Mississippi.

Before joining the University of Mississippi Medical Center to launch its OMFS residency program, Dr. Caloss practiced in Dallas and taught at UT Southwestern. His clinical interests include orthognathic and TMJ surgery, and he has trained other surgeons, published research, and lectured nationally on surgical innovations.

Outside of work, Dr. Caloss enjoys hunting, working out at Fondren Fitness, and learning to play guitar. He and his wife Lisa have two children, Cameron and Hannah, and they attend Fondren Church.
