Professional Bio
Dr. Ken Anderson is a pioneer in FUE hair restoration surgery and, in 2004, became the first surgeon to publish a complete FUE case in the peer-reviewed medical literature. He has been featured annually since the inception of this compilation in 2019.
Dr. Anderson and the Anderson Center for Hair have earned more than 80 major awards, including the global Best Hair Transplant Surgery Clinical Case presented by the Aesthetic Multispecialty Society at the 2024 World Congress in Monte Carlo. He has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in the USA for 10 consecutive years and has been named Atlanta’s Top Hair Restoration Surgeon for the past decade by Atlanta Magazine, Modern Luxury, and Best Self Magazine.
A Clinical Professor at Emory University School of Medicine and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Dr. Anderson is the only fellowship-trained, triple-board-certified facial plastic surgeon worldwide to have devoted his entire career exclusively to hair restoration surgery since 2003. He lectures internationally, publishes widely, and attracts patients from more than 50 countries. In 2025, global icon John Cena publicly credited him for his hair transplant, an acknowledgment that helped broaden public discourse and reduce stigma surrounding medical treatment for hair loss.
More than one in twenty of Dr. Anderson’s patients are physicians, reflecting his reputation within the medical community. He is the founder of the American Academy of Hair Restoration Surgery, a training initiative dedicated to elevating surgical education for physicians. His commitment to academic excellence continues to shape both the field and the next generation of hair restoration specialists.
